March is Women’s History Month, with International Women’s Day on March 8, and here at Pinterest, we’re very excited to be kicking off Women’s History Month to celebrate all of the amazing women we have the opportunity to work with every single day, who have made an impact in our lives and in our communities, and who continue to forge ahead for women’s equality. Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, providing more than 130,000 girls across the U.S. and Canada with life-changing experiences and solutions to the unique challenges girls face. The Girls Inc. Experience consists of people, an environment, and programming that, together, empower girls to succeed. Trained staff and volunteers build mentoring relationships in girls-only spaces where girls find a sisterhood of support with mutual respect, and high expectations. Research-based programs provide girls with the skills and knowledge to overcome obstacles, and improve academic performance. We also advocate with and for girls, on a local and national scale, for policies that advance their rights and opportunities and promote equity for all.
